Swiss WorldCargo
Swiss WorldCargo is the Cargo Division of Swiss International Air Lines
Ltd. The airline was created in April 2002 as successor of Swissair. The
airline is part of the Lufthansa group.
Project - Next Generation Air Cargo System
The Next Generation Cargo System project was aiming at
replacing the EDS' axsAircargo (Carido) legacy cargo system and a number of
other related legacy applications. The project goal was to strengthen the
position of Swiss WorldCargo in the industry by the adoption of flexible and modular
systems. Swiss WorldCargo intends to have a Next Generation Cargo System that
allows incorporation of industry trends such as e-freight and gives ample
opportunity to re-engineer the business processes.
Project Responsibilities
SweetHill Consultants was contracted to support the Swiss WorldCargo business
and IT team in selecting the appropriate new cargo system and definition of the
needed functionality and system integration. For this project SweetHill
Consultants formed a partnership with Cerasus consultants in Frankfurt
